Our most highly anticipated Dutch Films
Suskind – 19 January 2012
The film from the Netherlands we have by far looking forward to the most. It is a film by Rudolf van den Berg whose series ‘Oud Geld‘ is our favorite Dutch TV Series. This movie takes us back to the Second World War in Amsterdam. Here a flamboyant manager of a children’s home saves Jewish children from the concentration camp. Walter Suskind is one of the biggest hero’s of the Dutch resistance.

Doodslag – 12 January 2012
Doodslag is a new film by Pieter Kuijpers (Van God Los – Godforsaken), and it is starring one of the Netherland’s biggest stand-up comedians Theo Maassen. It is about a current and debated theme in Holland: the treating badly of ambulance personnel. So badly even that they cannot do their work. In this film a guy from the medical team hits back. This will not be without awful consequences.

Dick Maas usually sticks to comedies or action movies. Perhaps not very refined, but entertaining nonetheless. This film is no different.
Plot: The roles are turned around. A popular gameshow host becomes the contestant in a gameshow. The stakes are morbidly high: the life of his wife.
