The Cinema of Great-Britain, and it’s British movies & series appeal to people throughout the world. For Americans English movies are something exotic but also strangely familiar. For Europeans British movies are not so much part of European Cinema as for instance French or Danish film, but are nonetheless different from American English-language film. In this section we want to take you through the very best English Films & TV Series that the UK has to offer. We mainly focus on England, but you will find masterpieces from Ireland, Scotland or Wales. Selecting the finest works from such a giant industry is of course more of a challenge than we are facing in our other European country’s sections, but we hope to succeed.
