Norwegian Film Releases of 2012

Here all the Norwegian movies in 2012. As we all know the Cinema of Norway is not the biggest in the world. Also this year the amount of films is rather modest. Nonetheless, there appear to be a few good ones coming up. Here is the complete list. But first the one we are looking forward to the most.

Into the White

into the white- norwegian movies of 2012

Directed by Petter Næss

Cast: Florian Lukas, Stig Henrik Hoff, Lachlan Nieboer, David Kross, and Rupert Grint

We already know Petter Næss of the teriffic movie Elling (2011). Elling has made it into our best Norwegian movies of all time. We cannot wait to see this anti-war film. It is partly English spoken with an English cast. One of them being Rupert Grint (yes indeed Ron from Harry Potter).

Plot by Norwegian Film Institute:

‘Into the White is an anti-war movie. High above the harsh Norwegian wilderness, English and German pilots shoot each other to the ground after a violent chance encounter. Isolated, they must fight to survive the brutal winter. Though war has made them enemies, antagonism is hard to maintain as days go by. Through mutual need, unlikely friendships bloom’.

The rights have already been sold to a lot of countries, and we feel it is going to be another great success on the name of Peter Naess.
